A collection of seeds, seedlings and maps encapsulate cultures of food through history.

 

This installation reflects the preliminary phases of the City Croft community garden project at the Edinburgh College of Art, a collaborative project that connects food origins with creative practice.

Research into the history of food in Edinburgh and current cultural associations with food have heavily informed the production of Germinate//Cultivate. This digital portfolio provides more information about some of this research, including an opportunity to participate in the City Croft project.
